Groans echoed along the busy streets as Joshua palmed his forehead, sluggishly dragging his feet down the road on his commute home from the High School. It was pretty late in the evening; the relatively uncrowded sidewalks running along the paved road were all bathed in a settling orange-red hue as the sun began its regularly timed set... still, Jio was anything but relaxed at this time. Currently, the Senior was on his way home from classes so late just due to the fact that he wasn't coming from classes. Being Student Council President, Joshua normally had a lot on his plate to deal with in addition to the regular hustle and bustle of school life; but now of all days it seemed like that work load had effectively doubled. First he had to read through and approve or deny several club funding requests and appeals with the rest of the student council, finish up the arrangements regarding the assembly next week, not to even mention the LITERAL SMALL MOUNTAINS of paperwork he still had left over from most of the underclassmen members that thought it'd be " neato" to skip the meeting and all of their work! Massaging his temples in a circular motion while internally groaning, Jio was honestly having enough of today. He literally felt so exhausted by the time he had finished up work and had left that the Stand User had seriously debated just having his Stand carry him home... but against the wishes of his aching spirit, Gioeli persisted with simply walking the long commute down the hill leading towards his current residence; the last thing he needed was attracting attention from other people about being seen floating home, or worse from an Enemy Stand User. " Uuugh..." Jio moaned, bringing back his hands to the straps of the schoolbag on his back while the purple, muscular arms of his stand seemed to almost emerge from the air around his neck to resume massaging his head. " I swear, any more of this and I might just take a sick day. There's only so much that I can take when I'm picking up the slack for everyone else." If anything, this had taught Gioeli a powerful lesson about leadership and how it functioned. " Today its the Council, but if I ever wanna go somewhere then I need to get more decent subordinates... people I can trust to be competent without me leading them by the hand; or at least to lead the rest of the inane under." Still, it wasn't like competent people like that just fell from the sky or anything... unless it was an Enemy Stand attack. Then that would be another problem entirely of its own. Lars Steelson

As the younger man walked along, the doors to the hospital opened, and a man in his late 20s stepped out, stretching slightly, and moved onto the road. Lars looked up at the sun, and shrugged. He had known he wouldn't be getting out of there early, but that was a bit longer than he'd have liked. Shrugging, he turned a corner and began walking along, heading home. Ah well, at least the day was done.
As he moved, walking up the hill towards the high school, he cracked his neck and then blinked. Was that a...
A pair of purple arms were floating in the air, massaging a young man's neck. He seemed to be aware of this, but not alarmed, and he looked extremely tired. Only one real explanation there, after all. His eyes remained unfocused, and he didn't look directly at the boy until they were almost face to face. "Interesting use of a Stand. I'll have to see if Red Sun is up for it." With nary a sound, the oddly shaped half-humanoid of a Stand manifested on his shoulder. Two powerfully built limbs, either arms or legs depending on one's view. A long head with a single glowing red eye. From where it's waist was, long mechanical tendrils cascaded out, like some sort of peacock's tail or octopus's legs.
Smiling in a friendly manner, Lars stuck his hands in his pockets and shrugged. "Seem to be a lot of us in this town. Lars Steelson." Despite his genial comment, there was a vague aura of tension, as if the big, viking-like man was not entirely as casual as he seemed. Only a fool would be, with a Stand user this close bearing unknown powers.

Joshua probably should have been suspicious as he witnessed a person walking towards him from the other end of the sidewalk; and yet he walked on either not knowing of the man's odd looks or simply too tired to care. It was odd that the guy was completely unfocused, not even giving the slightest of glances to the highschooler despite them facing each other in an otherwise free line of sight; and yet still, the boy was simply too preoccupied in his own thoughts to even comprehend that another stand user would be near. ...until one was standing directly in front of him, that is. Interesting use of a Stand. I'll have to see if Red Sun is up for it." !?!" Jio's eyes widened wordlessly as the brawny, and almost viking-built man directly addressed him in almost too casual a matter. It was suspicious enough if a person would randomly talk to Gioeli out of the blue, but the fact that he had mentioned Stands, specifically HIS, set off alarm bells in the pale-faced youth. Seeing the man call his own Stand out of the blue, Jio gripped his fist to his side, ERWorld's arms immediately withdrawing from its user's neck before the full body of the Stand completely emerged. " E-ERWORLD!" Gioeli hastily called out as the lavender Stand, similarly built to Lars, emerged with a silent and menacing glare. " Great! This is just what I need; slammed with a bunch of work all day, then get jumped by a Stand User on my way home." Joshua groaned, his headache starting to grow back to its previous intensity with a vengeance due to the stressful scenario the teen was unfortunately thrown into. The last thing he had wanted to get into was a Stand battle; heck the last one he was in nearly had him breaking several limbs and god knows how many more injuries! " Stands are just the gift that keep on giving~" Remarking sarcastically, Jio resolved to menacingly glare at Lars as he continued to speak quite passively, leaving his body open to attack in several places! Seem to be a lot of us in this town. Lars Steelson." Can I help you, Mr. Steelson?" Jio commented more than asked, still wary of the mysterious cyclops, half-humanoid Stand hovering next to this mystery person. When Stands were concerned, weak-points didn't really matter in the grand scheme of things; he had no idea how hard that thing could punch... but by the way it was acting so passively it was either a great bluff or held some sort of powerful strength. Either way he'd have to be wary. " I'm not much in the mood to fancy a fight."

Lars watched in amusement as the young man started, then called out his Stand, a large, muscular creature in lavender. The Stand seemd to stare him down as he looked back, unperturbed.
The large man blinked as the boy responded bitingly, shrugging slightly. "Fight? I didn't say anything about fight. I just saw a fellow Stand User, thought I should say hello." He shrugged again. It had seemed like basic manners. "Why so hostile? Just because we have Stands doesn't mean we need to duke it out. Besides, my stand Red Sun isn't really one to fight directly, so it would have a hard time fighting you." There was something odd about the way he specifically stated his stand, and not himself. At least part of that question was answered a moment later. The cycloptic machine-like stand turned, and stared at Jio.
"Greetings, Child. I am Red Sun. I assume the one behind you is Erworld?"
Lars was standing rather calmly, one arm leaning against the wall and the other on his hip. Red Sun was perched on his shoulder, metal tendrils waving slightly as he looked at the highschooler. "I will admit, I do like a good brawl, but I'm not about to beat up a Teenager. Would probably be in trouble for that." Not that his particular method of fighting wouldn't allow him to get away basically unscathed if any legal questions came up, but that was secondary. Besides, this kid seemed more nervous than a threat.

"..." Joshua's mouth nearly dropped and hung agape as Lars commented on his philosophy concerning Stands. For a while now, Jio had been under the impression that every Stand User he met was just on a quest to beat the shit out of him; or at least the ones he had not approached first. In fact, now that he really took the time to think about it, even the ones he HAD approached first rather peacefully instantly became ready for a fight or to leap at his throat at the merest mention of Stands.
Sighing in relief while giving a faint smile, Jio was for once pretty happy with the turn this interaction had taken. "Thank god." He announced, ERWorld retreating back and behind its user but still not dispelling. "It seems like every Stand User I meet believes each other to be their enemy... I'm irritated to say, that ideal may have been one I accidentally adopted as of late." He was about to consider going more in depth about this information, maybe even introduce himself to the stranger; however, that thought process was completely interrupted as Steelson's Stand who had until then remained silent, like Jio had expected from Stands, decided to speak up.
Greetings, Child. I am Red Sun. I assume the one behind you is Erworld?
Performing a double take on the Cyclops Stand, Joshua stared with a surprised intrigue at the fact that Lars' Stand had just addressed him in human speak! "Oh my. This is a first." Gioeli remarked, stepping to the side in order to now take a closer look at this seemingly autonomous speaking Stand. "Your Stand... It speaks and acts like its own being... Remarkable." Turning back to face Lars, Jio stuck out his hand. "Forgive my abrasive remarks earlier, sir. My name is Gioeli Joshua."
"Hm... Forgive my abruptness... but tell me, Mr. Steelson, your Stand's build is not one to reflect that of direct combat, is it not? If you would not mind me asking, what is its ability?" He questioned, speaking in a polite manner that was characteristic to the youth when speaking to those in terms of authority or elder age... or at least those he had use for. Who knows; depending on whatever this speaking Stand can do, maybe Steelson might be someone Gioeli might fancy recruiting!

Lars nodded slightly at Joshua's comment. "Indeed. Red Sun does have it's own intelligence, although what exactly caused that I couldn't say." Indeed, as far as he was aware, Stands either spoke or they didn't. It seemed a bit random, to be honest. Putting his hands in his pockets, he listened as Joshua spoke.
At the kid's words, he had to chuckle. "Red Sun, not for direct combat? I think you misunderstood slightly. You have probably noticed that, for the most part, only a Stand can hurt another Stand. Your stand could clock someone in the face, but they couldn't hit back." He waved at Red Sun. "I repeat what I said before. Red Sun wouldn't be able to fight you. I didn't say it wasn't built for Direct Combat." The Stand floated upwards slightly, and one of it's Tendrils trailed down, touching the upper part of Lars's arm. There was a clicking noise. Lar's arm was now very different.
Metal tubing, pistons, gears, and all sorts of machinery comprised a heavy arm, about the same size as Lars's original. He flexed several bulky fingers, then looked back at Joshua. "Meet an exception to the rule. Any flesh transformed by Red Sun is capable of hitting Stands." He bowed slightly, then flexed his hand again as the metal receded, chuckling. "Oh, and while it's a machine, parts can be replaced, so if you're injured, come find me and I'll fix you up, yeah? Much faster than natural healing."
